Saxifraga stolonifera

Saxifraga stolonifera commonly known as strawberry begonia is an amazing plant that forms rosettes and sends runners, allowing it to create a nice carpet very quickly in the vivarium. It hails from the forests of China and Japan, but is now spread worldwide as an ornamental plant. This plant has scale-like leaves and a bunching growth habit. It grows quickly and can beautifully cover the floor of an enclosure. It does well under bright, indirect light, and can even grow in somewhat saturated conditions. It is a very hardy plant.

Plants are grown in high humidity in terrariums and greenhouses, therefore may need acclimation to the average home humidity / environment.
