Pistia stratiotes

A floating plant commonly known as water lettuce. This plant is easy to care and grows very fast. It forms an attractive maze of hanging roots which creates the perfect environment for fish fry and shrimps. It is good for aquarium and pond as it can help to absorb excess nutrients and pollutants. A great plant to add to a newly set up planted aquarium for preventing algae. Also great for breeder tanks.
